Abersoch is famous as a popular seaside resort in North Wales. It attracts lots of visitors from all over the world due to its east-facing shoreline. Situated on the Llyn Peninsula it houses around 1,000 inhabitants. Originally it was a fishing village, but has slowly diversified into a centre for tourism in the North Wales area.

Abersoch caters for many water-sports, such as sailing, windsurfing and jet-skiing. It even boasts it's own specialist sailing centre. You can charter boats for personal use or just buy a ticket and take a boat trip around the local islands. With the famous surfing in Hell's Mouth not far away then it's no wonder the village has become so popular with water sports enthusiasts. The downside is that Abersoch as a town has lost a lot of it's Welsh cultural heritage.

Since the year 2000 Abersoch has also been host to the infamous wake-boarding event called Wakestock.
